WHY A PERINATAL SUMMIT?

The whole idea really started with a simple question:

How can we help bridge the gap of birth & postpartum support in the Upstate?

We envisioned an event akin to TedX meets Birth Expo meets Matriarch Rising Festival (maybe one day it’ll get to that scale!). Together, the three of us would combine our strengths to build on events past birth workers have created to keep the conversation around pregnancy and postpartum support alive! This isn’t “just a seminar”. This SUMMIT will be a celebration of support, growth, & transformation-- for each attendee and the greater community.

OUR MISSION

In the Upstate of South Carolina, we believe in the power of community, the strength of connection, and the transformative potential of being seen and supported—especially during life’s most profound seasons. Pregnancy, postpartum, and the journey to conception are not paths meant to be walked alone. Yet, so many in our community find themselves navigating these pivotal moments in isolation, unsure where to turn or how to build the village of care they deserve.

That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce the inaugural Build Your Village Perinatal Summit, an immersive and community-centered event designed to empower expectant parents, new families, and those preparing for conception. This summit will serve as a vibrant hub where attendees can connect with the incredible ecosystem of care providers and healers in our region—midwives, doulas, birth photographers, chiropractors, pelvic floor therapists, bodyworkers, energy healers, and more.

Together, we will weave a tapestry of resources, education, and support to ensure that no family in the Upstate feels alone on their journey. We envision a day filled with meaningful conversations, inspiring workshops, and hands-on opportunities to foster relationships that transcend the event itself. In order to bring this vision to life, we need the partnership of those who share our belief in the power of community care. Your support can help us create an unforgettable experience that uplifts families and celebrates the incredible work of the wellness professionals who make our region so special.
